My wife Anna, son Michael, and me
Although I started my professional career with a degree in finance, the opportunities available to me were ultimately in the field of education technology. Starting as an IT Educational Assistant in Learning Management System support, I grew to Instructional Designer, Instructional Systems Developer, Consultant and eLearning Project Manager, and now Senior Learning Systems Professional. I also plan to defend my dissertation for PhD in the field of Instructional System Technologies at Indiana University this year. While I came to the field of instructional design quite accidentally, my background in finance and passion for business have helped me bring a unique perspective to the processes, goals, and execution of learning design.
As I am constantly seeking out new skills and opportunities to grow, I’ve become proficient in a number of tools such as Adobe Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate 360, HTML, and multiple Learning Management Systems. Beyond learning new technologies and modes of delivering content, I am most passionate about analyzing and evaluating initiatives, making data-driven decisions that maximize value, and empowering team members to use innovative approaches to solve problems. My education, experience, and approach to learning qualify me for a position of leadership in education and training. As a visionary, I’m seeking a role in which I can lead a team to develop innovative and valuable learning opportunities driven by research.
The following timeline highlights both personal and professional milestones in my life. Through travel, education, and starting a family, my unique experiences have shaped the way I approach education, research, and work.
